OMNI Aviation Training Center (OATC) has contracted Aeroplanned, a planning software platform built for aviation training operations. This step reinforces OATC’s modernization strategy and commitment to efficiency, digital innovation, and excellence in pilot training.
Implementation of Aeroplanned will begin on 1 December 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, with the platform entering operational use from January 2026.
Aeroplanned’s timeline-based planning centralizes scheduling for aircraft, simulators, instructors, and students, improving cross-department coordination. The platform integrates with OATC’s FlightLogger system, keeping plans and records aligned and streamlining day-to-day execution. It will also allow OATC to anchor course plans to pre-set APS MCC start dates on the new Airbus A320 simulator, ensuring a smooth transition from the flying phase into APS MCC without scheduling gaps, and support the transition to the new Elixir fleet.
“We believe this software will deliver an even better customer experience—with clearer timelines, fewer reschedules, and proactive communication throughout the course. With Aeroplanned, we’re also ready to use our current and new assets more efficiently, from the Elixir fleet to the A320 simulator,” said Captain Dylan van Haasen, Head of Training at OATC.
Adding to this, Jen Liddle, CEO of Aeroplanned, commented:
“We’re really excited to be working with the OATC team. Aeroplanned is designed to bring clarity and forward visibility to exactly these kinds of challenges—like introducing new aircraft types, managing phased fleet changes, and keeping training aligned along the way. With three years of planning visibility, OATC will be able to make confident, data-driven decisions that enhance the experience for both students and staff. It’s a privilege to support such a capable and forward-thinking team.”
This investment complements recent advancements at OATC, including the acquisition of eight new Elixir aircraft and the introduction of the Airbus A320 simulator—further strengthening our commitment to innovation, excellence, and alignment with the evolving needs of the aviation sector.
By adopting modern technologies and a forward-looking approach, OATC reaffirms its mission to train pilots to the highest standards of competence, safety, and professionalism.
