Operating from Cascais Airport and Ponte de Sor Airport, OATC has established itself as a leading aviation academy, offering high-quality flight training programmes from ab initio through to Instrument Rating (IR), Night Rating, Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Multi-Engine Rating (ME), APS MCC, Flight Instructor courses and Type Rating training. Through this strategic partnership, OATC will now offer online ATPL(A) Theory training in collaboration with Bristol Groundschool, combining Bristol’s internationally recognised theoretical instruction with OATC’s practical flight training expertise.

The partnership offers students greater flexibility, particularly those who already hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL). Students can complete their ATPL(A) Theory online from anywhere in the world through Bristol Groundschool while enrolling with OATC, before progressing to OATC for their practical flight training, including the CPL, Night Rating, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Rating and APS MCC. This creates a seamless pathway towards obtaining a Frozen ATPL while allowing students to study at their own pace from home, reducing the need for extended classroom attendance without compromising the quality of their theoretical training.
